Teeth Whitening for Sensitive Teeth
A very common side-effect of teeth whitening can be temporary tooth sensitivity - usually lasting no longer than 24 hours. If you suffer from sensitive teeth we advise using a low strength of whitening gel, this will greatly decrease the risk of sensitive teeth and sore gums whilst still allowing you to whiten to the same level as with higher strength products (although you will need to whiten for a longer period of time). In fact, most dentists will prescribe all patients 10% carbamide peroxide to wear overnight for up to 2 weeks!
We particularly recommend: The 10% Value Kit - containing 10% whitening gel, a protecting fluoride toothpaste, and desensitising gel just in case you do get sensitive teeth after whitening!
